I've always been a dreamer but, in 2016, I gained an awareness. I was no longer floating through life on this plane of what I now think of as mindlessness. Being here physically but not all there spiritually or mentally.
And that awareness hit hard. Much of what we experience, in society, is bogus. The façade is very strong. Some call it spiritual warfare.
Even so, the dreamer in me always chose to navigate it. For a time, the goal was to escape unscathed; that didn't happen.
I have many bruises now. Some you can see and a whole lot more that you can't.
Eureka!
Suffering, I know it well. But you all know it just as well and many of you, worse. Again Eureka!
I can connect with you as a dreamer, as a soul with awareness and now on an even deeper level - suffering.
A wisdom imparted on me:
One must go through the fire, so as they may secure the tools necessary to carry, sustain, and develop in the role they've been given or are being appointed to.
CONSCIOUS DREAMERZ® is a reflection of myself. It's a reflection of my life, it's a reflection of my beliefs, and my ideas. All this to say, I don't hide much.
Recently I tried to separate this brand from myself but it's slowly becoming more of me and I don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing. For that reason I developed a sub brand called [unsolicited]™. Those [unsolicited]™ pieces may be marked in subtleties or very blatantly.
The sub brand [unsolicited]™ is exactly what it means; no one asked me for it. It doesn't mean that it isn't powerful, thought-provoking or even inspiring. But it may have some relatability and that's why it's given; we share experiences.
What I give to you is a refining experience of newfound wisdoms and epiphanies. Behold!
[THAT WAS LONG. BUT WAIT. THERES MORE.]
The future of CONSCIOUS DREAMERZ® looks like prints on cut and sew fabrics. Designer pieces with a message. Implemented in a way that says just enough to provoke thought, yet, not overpower the garment.
Simple, concise and effective.
That approach is to intentionally give pieces a longer lifespan. I find that some pieces make just enough fuss that the individual wears them less. Maybe the thought goes "people will remember I wore this. I can't wear the same thing twice". The goal of our pieces are to make subtle but notable statements. With that intention I can see the individual having a hard time not wearing our pieces regularly, effectively giving more ideas life. And with the right materials partnered with excellent craftsmanship, they can.
Al Green's music is just as good today as it was when it was released. We aim to produce the same effect.
